Former Longtime QC Broadcaster Jim Albracht passes away at the age of 75 and is now survived by his wife Meredith and childrens.

His broadcasting journey started at WQAD News 8, where he worked as a sportscaster covering regional teams and events.

At WQUA, he hosted a show called “Sportsphone,” which by 1981 had expanded to air four nights a week for two and a half hours each night.

Later, Albracht worked at a local radio station in the Quad Cities area, a hometown station for many aspiring broadcasters of that generation.
